Masy Systems Adds Key Personnel Supporting the Local Community and Returning Veterans

Continues to strengthen the Validation, Calibration and Biostorage Departments

Pepperell, MA (PRWEB) September 26, 2012

Masy Systems, Inc., a leader in validation, calibration and GMP storage services is pleased to announce many additions to the Masy team. These additions bring a variety of expertise to our Calibration, Biorepository and Validation departments, increasing the ability to meet customer requirements and adding to Masy's regulatory compliance.

Christine Scully, a longtime Pepperell resident, joined our Calibration department as a Calibration Technician. Christine's roots grow deep in Pepperell. Her grandfather was the prior highway surveyor of Pepperell, her uncle is a deputy chief on the Pepperell Fire Department and her great Aunt owns a local hair salon. Joining a strong Pepperell-based company like Masy was a natural move.

Christine served on active duty with the US Army for four years and deployed to Iraq for 16 months as a Counterintelligence Agent and Human Intelligence Collector. After her tour in the military she returned to Pepperell and is currently serving in the US Army reserves. Christine's experience in the Army gave her a unique set of skills from leadership and discipline to integrity and trainability. Christine's Pepperell roots, her military experience and the qualities she learned in the Army make a great fit for Masy.

Laurie Masiello, Masy Systems' President, is excited Christine has joined the Masy team. ?Christine?s military background provides a strong foundation to learn the technical intricacies of our calibration processes. We appreciate her service to our country and welcome her back home to Pepperell.?

Masy will be opening a new -75?C Storage Facility in late 2012. This expansion in the GMP Storage area has resulted in the hiring of three staff members, all with connections to Pepperell. Ian Cook, Rachel Casazza and Michelle Mayer joined Masy as Biorepository Assistants. Ian grew up in Pepperell and recently moved to Townsend. He graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School (NMRHS) and is now studying Mechanical Engineering at UMass Lowell. Rachel grew up in and currently lives in Pepperell, and graduated from NMRHS. She furthered her education and recently graduated from Saint Anselm College. Michelle currently lives in Pepperell as well. She obtained her Bachelor?s Degree from UMass Amherst and is on target to receive her Biotechnology Degree from Mount Wachusett Community College in the Fall of 2012. Since joining Masy, Michelle has also completed DOT Shipper and International Air Shipping training courses and recently was promoted to Biorepository Supervisor. Ian, Rachel and Michelle strengthen a busy department that has seen an outstanding amount of growth since it opened three years ago.

John Coolidge, Masy's Biorepository Manager added, ?The new facility represents a sextupling of -75?C storage space at Masy Systems. The expansions allows Masy to further capitalize on economy of scale to offer affordable and high quality ultra low temperature storage to our clients in the pharmaceutical and life science industries.?

Clive Smith comes to Masy with over 25 years of broad international and domestic customer interaction as well as sales channel educational development in the controls/automation/instrumentation business. His extensive Life Sciences industry experience and expertise, comprehensive sales support, business development and marketing capabilities will increase the company's ability to best communicate the true value and quality of what Masy delivers. Clive is also a published author of several industry white papers and magazine articles.

John Masiello, Masy Systems' Executive Vice President, welcomes Clive to join our growing sales team as the Validation Services Product Manager. ?Clive will provide our customers a wealth of expertise from his extensive technical experience in the regulated industries. I am looking forward to introducing him to our valued validation customers.?

Masy is NVLAP accredited to ISO 17025 for calibrations, and ISO 9001 certified. Masy provides validation and calibration services, equipment rentals, and GMP storage for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
