ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Rome Police Department has announced the passing of retired Chief Joseph Grande at the age of 87.RPD says Grande joined the department in 1948.
Throughout his career, Grande received promotions to the rank of detective and then in 1974, to the position of chief, where he served as until his retirement in 1987.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 19 at 12:45 p.m. from the Barry Funeral Home on West Chestnut Street in Rome and St. Paul's Church at 1:30 p.m.
