Assassin's Pledge: War of Attrition
Enter a world of violence and deceit as the Assassins of Te'i Sai and Roda Ah K'mht blaze a trail of destruction across the continent of Cre' Est. The people live in fear, and they check every corner for danger as they walk the streets. Even the bravest of warriors loath to walk alone down the paths they tread for fear of the two warring Assassin Organizations.
Of all the Assassins in the world, none is more famous or feared than the Red-Eyed Demon. For the past two decades he has terrorized the continent of Cre' Est, taking countless lives and destroying entire organizations of thieves, bounty hunters, and even other Assassins. His skills are legendary, and his deeds even more so. The Demon is known to have murdered several influential and highly recognized individuals, such as the Royal Family of Shaharan, despite the fact that they were closely guarded by over five hundred Royal Guards on the day of their murder.
The year is 600, and seven months have passed since the event known the world over as "Bloody New Year". That night, the infamous Assassin known as the Red-Eyed Demon slaughtered dozens of civilians and Assassins alike in a merciless display of power and evil. Four months ago, a day known as the "Demon's Demise" became an official holiday marking the death of the infamous Assassin. On this day, he annihilated over two hundred Assassins and several dozen city and Royal Guards of Cre' Est outside the Capitol City of the nation of Triveila before finally being brought down by the combined efforts of the Royal Guards Yarun and Solomon. However, the Red-Eyed Demon's death is in question, as the disappearance of his body has many wondering if he really is dead.
Today, crime is on the rise and completely out of control. Thieves have taken control of the streets, and even Royal Families must bow to the whims of rogue bounty hunters and mercenaries who have banded together in an attempt to put themselves in positions of power by taking advantage of the confusion and chaos brought forth by the Demon's death. Without the Demon's presence to keep it at bay, evil has spread and now runs rampant across the continent. Ironically, the death of the highest evil in the known world opened the floodgates for the true evil within the hearts of man the continent over.
